Congratulations to Dicks Simmons and Dexter Grif for winning a competition they didn't technically qualify for! Next up, I'll be doing single elimination redemption rounds for the losing parties, and the winner of that will compete against our victors in a final showdown of red and yellow! Will our eventual underdog dethrone the maroon and orange duo, or will Grif and Simmons keep their title?

since the team helmets cross stitch is finished and needs tidying up/finishing and my brain needs a new puzzle to gnaw on, i’m working on turning some of the r/place RvB into cross stitches as well… not going great with the Big Boose reference I’ve got since it’s not actually 45x62 pixels (i counted lol) but I’m going to translate that over to individual pixels I think with a pixel art app I’ve got and then use those actual-size pixel pieces to do the patterns… and then post the patterns here

anyway here’s the picture I was going to try to turn into a pattern, @clocks-are-round​ I believe turned a screencap of Caboose into a pixellation with the usable colors of r/place. As you can see the color translation pixel-stitch is doing is. Not great lmao but if I fix it up as an actual size pixel image I can also adjust the colors to ones that aren’t locked to the limitations of the r/place offerings

if you’re interested in the patterns stay tuned, i think i’ll start a tag for craft patterns at the bottom of this post and add it to the directory for later

they also forgot the part where they only found the baby because masha was screaming her head off bc she knew this baby was in danger. she went around outside the alley the next morning and yelled at passerby until she got one to follow her to the baby. she kept him warm all night and then made sure someone found him. she was adopted after this bc she was a stray and is in a loving home and is a hero

Kittens can’t regulate their own body temperature. That’s why they pile up.

Cats see us as colony members.

Masha saw a kitten that was on its own, no mommy, no other kittens to cuddle with. She instinctively knew that was a cold kitten. She knew that a kitten alone on a cold night was very likely to die. Because a kitten would have died too.

So, all she was doing was what any good colony member does - protecting the abandoned kitten. Then when the abandoned kitten’s mommy didn’t come back, she called the rest of the colony for help.

People have this bizarre idea that housecats don’t have a social sense. They do, and it saved this kid’s life. And possibly Masha’s too, as life on the streets is dangerous for a kitty.

We say “good dog” all the time, but Masha was being a very, very good cat…not just by human moral standards but by feline ones.
